The art of contemporary satire was brought to life by Sarah Maple in her acclaimed exhibition, “Not My Cup of Tea”. To capture the essence of this thought-provoking journey, a custom-designed catalogue was created. The bespoke catalogue was a testament to the unique approach of Ex Why Zed’s artist catalogue printing, embodying the exhibition’s spirit of boundary-pushing and social critique.
The catalogue, designed in a distinct 210x210mm square format, was printed on high-quality 300gsm GF Smith Heaven 42 for the cover. Further enhancing the tactile appeal, matt lamination and embossing were incorporated on the outer surface. On opening the catalogue, the visual narrative continued on 170gsm gloss paper, featuring full colour prints that beautifully reflected the vibrancy of Maple’s artwork. This meticulous process of trimming, collating, and perfect binding ensured the finest details were flawlessly captured, making it a perfect keepsake of the exhibition.
Sarah Maple, a beacon of satirical art, continues to challenge societal conventions with her insightful artwork. The “Not My Cup of Tea” exhibition, a commentary on social issues, was not just an exhibition; it was a dialogue-starter. This essence was beautifully encapsulated in the catalogue, serving as a physical embodiment of the artistic experience.
