Skylogue by Jess Sutton is a captivating exploration of the sky, meticulously catalogued over the course of a year from 2009 to 2010. This unique project, presented in a 99x297mm case-bound book, showcases Sutton’s keen observation and artistic prowess. The book, complete with a year’s worth of sky and additional pages, was launched as a limited edition of 100, making it a coveted piece for art enthusiasts and collectors alike.
We readily accepted the challenge of printing this gloriously unique study of skyscapes. As a print novice, Jess sought out samples of the available materials and finishes. We offered helpful advice was offered from the outset. With colour matching an important consideration the text pages were Indigo printed to do the skyscapes justice whilst staying cost effective on a run of 100.
The dust jacket was litho printed with a matt lamination applied to the outer for protection against the enthusiastic handling by captivated readers.

The book’s production quality is a testament to the attention to detail that went into its creation. It features litho printed dust jackets and metallic finish silver wrapped onto 3000 micron board, providing a tactile and visual experience that complements the ethereal beauty of the sky images. The silk text pages, printed using the Indigo method, add a touch of elegance and durability to the book, ensuring that it stands the test of time.
